Career Opportunities / Job Matching The EOJD “EURES ITALY FOR BSBF2024” was created through collaboration with the organizers of the Big Science Business Forum 2024 (BSBF2024). BSBF is a business- oriented congress focused on high technology and innovation, aiming to be the main meeting point between Research Infrastructures and Industry in Europe. For the first time, a dedicated recruitment and information event was included under the aegis of EURES, in order to support the Big Science jobmarket and raise awareness about its opportunities. EURES: https://eures.europa.eu/index_en EUROPEAN ONLINE JOB DAYS (EOJDs): https://europeanjobdays.eu/en Event planning was coordinated with the BSBF organizers and the leading European Big Science Organizations (BSOs), along with their Industrial Liaison Officers. 8.10.2. Strategy Activities started in early 2023, when BSBF organizers discussed a new proposal for the first-ever recruitment event connecting the Big Science job market with European employment services (EURES). Defining the Big Science Market The event included a major awareness-raising initiative on multiple levels, targeting two main groups: • Jobseekers: both those already familiar with the Big Science market and its required skill sets, and those needing more detailed information. • Companies: both those already active in the Big Science sector and those that may enter it in the future. Leveraging Stakeholder Networks The event was supported by strategic partnerships with: • EURAXESS (through the EURAXESS Center in Trieste) • EU-level sector and employer organizations, such as SME United, EUROCHAMBRES, BUSINESS EUROPE, SME4SPACE, EUROSPACE • National-level worker/employer organizations, already involved in EURES & Social Dialogue activities Alignment with EU Strategies The event was planned in synergy with: • DG EMPL – Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (Unit E1) • European Labour Authority (ELA) • European Quality Framework for Traineeships (QFT) 8.10.3.
