Target Identification and Promotional Activities with ILOs (Industrial Liaison Officers) and CEI The identification of BSBF 2024 targets was carried out in collaboration with ILO Network Italia and other Industrial Liaison Officers (ILOs) , aiming to involve strategic stakeholders including industrial companies, SMEs, innovative startups, academic institutions, and research centers. ILOs played a key role in mapping the most relevant companies at national level, creating a detailed database organized by sector, size, and innovation potential. This segmentation ensured coverage of the main industrial sectors, facilitating targeted engagement. Additionally, each ILO conducted individual promotional activities, using local networks to tailor promotional messages to specific market characteristics. The resulting “National Pavilions” i.e., grouped areas of companies by country, emerged from this approach. In some cases, the ILO representative directly contracted the pavilion space, managing all interactions throughout the event. Promotional strategies were implemented tomaximize communication effectiveness. In compliance with privacy regulations, there was no single shared mailing list; instead, separate lists were managed individually by the ILOs, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, and the PCO. The campaign included: ∙ Targeted email communications with tailored promotional content ∙ Informational webinars aimed at target companies ∙ National and international sector-specific events Media coverage by specialized and local outlets increased the visibility of BSBF 2024 through articles, interviews, and press releases.
